HOW DID YOU AND YOUR PARTNER MEET?

On July 12th, 2019, the fire alarm rang in a student housing complex near McGill University in Montreal. Around 200 confused and tired student-aged humans flood out of two doors to the apartment complex. Half go out the front, half go out the back. Two strangers walk out the same door by chance.

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED?

We were married at the Villa Artimino - a UNESCO heritage site and a villa previously owned by the Medici family in Tuscany.

WHY DID YOU PICK BEC + BRIDGE FOR YOUR BRIDAL PARTY?

I worked on my wedding for two years, planning every single detail. The color palette including the wedding invitation I chose was forest green and ivory. I could not find that same colour anywhere else apart from your website. The quality of Bec + Bridge could not be topped and it was a no-brainer for me. Despite the brand being Australian and me living on the other side of the world!

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR COLOUR CHOICE?

The romantic Tuscan countryside is what inspired this forest green and ivory colour choice.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE DAY?

EVERYTHING. It felt like a movie. Probably when Grant and I stepped down the Villa stairs and saw all our guests from above. They were all there for us, and it was a big emotional moment.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ANY SOON-TO-BE BRIDE?

My biggest advice is to be present in the moment. Don’t try to manage or control everything on that day, because things don’t go as planned. Enjoy every conversation and dedicate some time to everyone because they are all there for you. Also do not drink (too much) as it is going to be the best day of your life forever and you’ll need to have a clear memory of it
